Where in the world is D.R? San Diego.

So I’m in the States, and it’s flipping awesome. Have I gotten any editing done? Not really… I’ve been to busy with work, San Diego craft beer, and general exploration, as follows…

Sam Diego has a quaint old tram stop.

The Museum of Contemporary Art had brutal welded tiger heads \m/

One of the Stone craft beer places is right next door, and you can bring dogs to the bar. Missing my pup but enjoying my…

Oh, and the American Airlines lounge has tiny white chocolate covered pretzels.

Yes, two whole shelves of tequila… I had no idea there even were this many.

Oh and I got to see a mother flippin’ Baseball game!

So uh… No editing. I’ll get to it, at the moment though I want to use my time in CHICAGO to have a look around. I’ve already seen the bean…

Should be plenty of time to edit on the flight home at least.
Does your writing ever fall down when you’re on a big trip?

Your writing may be suffering, but I’m sure there’s a big-American-truck-load of inspiration slipping in there. Travelling’s great. I’m very lucky that I do it for my job.

  2. I tried to get some editing done when I went to my sister’s wedding on the other side of the country, but it didn’t happen XD Glad you’re enjoying sunny SD! You look really good with a beard ^^ Also, chocolate covered pretzels are awesome. They have the perfect mix of savory and sweet. My husband was supposed to go to Chicago for a business trip, but it got cancelled, and he was kind of bummed. He loves traveling.

    • Understandable, since I’ve been here it’s been fantastic, everyone has looked after me really well.
Thank you! I met a bartender called Kurt today who had a simply amazing beard. Longer than normal, and plenty groomed. Hope your husband gets a good chance to travel soon 🙂

  3. Whenever I go down to visit my parents, I load up my suitcase with books and accept there will be no writing done while I’m away.

On the plus side, you found beer! That’s definitely something I’ll have to look into next time I’m in San Diego. Unfortunately, I wasn’t of legal drinking age the last time I was down there…

    • Absolutely, I was very impressed with the quality and variety of beers on offer, especially ales and IPAs. If I go back again I’m doing some extensive research… 😉

As for the suitcases full of books – I hear ya! I’ve had to offload books on family at the airport to get my bag under weight limit, or move everything light into my checked and hope they don’t weigh the carry-on hehehe
