Been a big day! Lots going on for work, and got my Falcon back from having a reconditioned motor put in. Hurray for new leases on life. The old gubbins were well and truly stuffed, everything clogged up with sludge and cams scratched to hell.

The writing is going so much easier after working through the characters. Everything just makes a lot more sense, and everyone’s motivations are crystal clear. I used to spend too much time worrying what colour eyes, what’s their favourite toothpaste, are they an angry drunk, and all these fussy details. Last week I found a fantastic distillation of what is actually going to help write the characters, without all this BS, at Terribleminds. Have a look but please excuse their french. http://terribleminds.com/ramble/2013/10/28/plot-and-character/
